Your romantic hideaway is privately positioned on our 45 acre farmstay. We are far enough away to ensure your privacy and close enough if you need us. The flowers, the ironed cotton linens, the smell of the timber features, the beautiful timber floors complimented by the white washed painted walls and................ We have created a special haven with rustic charm and and a relaxing atmosphere for you to truly unwind and step off the world for a wee while. Kick off the shoes and sit back and enjoy the views and the sound of the water and trees rustling in the breeze. The cottage is ideal for singles, couples, as a honeymoon retreat and even the small younger family, whether for a weekend getaway or longer term accommodation.
 March 2010: we have now positioned an outdoor bath outside the cottage and overlooking the waterfall. This addition to the featuires that Wainui Country Retreat offers our guests ( maybe the more adventurous ones ) has finally come to fruition. Imagine- lying back in the bubbles, a glass of wine in hand, while the stresses of the day start melting away. Winter or summer this is fun and great for the mind body and soul.
The cottage and its surroundings are truly enchanting inspiring a sense of serenity and offering food for the soul. We hope to see you soon so you too can enjoy what Waterfall Lodge and our "laid back" piece of paradise has to offer.

Purpose designed and built in 2006, your getaway offers boutique country accommodation. It is ideally orientated on a north facing ( towards the sun) slope in a small tree-lined valley overlooking the private waterfall. 
Try something FUN and a little different- a Waterfall pizza
Cook your whole meal using firewood supplied and enjoy the ambiance of the wood burning outdoor pizza oven, with views to the waterfall. Garnish your pizza base with your favorite topping or cook that tasty steak, warm the garlic bread, toast the marshmallows, to the warmth of the cast iron outdoor wood-fired oven. So simple to use, and you will be amazed how quickly and easily a memorable meal is produced.
